My work is a series of investigations, experiments and reflections into loss, absence and memory. In themselves, the work and the processes involved, are a search for a way of expressing and understanding the issues.

Working in Contextual Practice, my aim has been to extract certain elements, qualities and aspects from the site in order to respond to the issues and concerns that have arisen.

I am interested in the role of the artefact and its cast as a replacement object in relation to loss. The artefact becomes something other than itself, in the sense that the subject transfer his/her feelings onto it and it changes its meaning and status. The artefact is a survivor of a time past, an object with a history and a trigger for memories.

I have become interested in the boundary between the internal world (self) and the external world (other). This boundary emerges in my work in surfaces, in different forms, for example, the mirror and walls. It also relates to the present as the boundary between past and future.
